A round knob is often described by its diameter, but that is not always enough to identify the intended catalogue row. The selected 6637, 6611 and 9901 entries show how a compact hardware family can include several different scales and combinations of dimensions.
6637: three clearly separated sizes
The brushed-brass 6637 table lists top diameters of 32, 28 and 25 mm. The 32 mm version has a printed height of 22 mm, while the 28 and 25 mm versions are both listed at 20 mm high. The respective weights are 43, 32 and 29 g.
Writing “6637, medium” can be less clear than recording the actual diameter and height. Keep the numerical row in the schedule, especially when notes move between drawings, sample requests and a quotation.

6611: repeated diameters need another dimension
The coffee 6611 family has seven rows. Some top diameters appear more than once: 20 mm occurs with heights of 25 and 20 mm, and 15 mm occurs with heights of 20 and 17 mm. Diameter alone therefore leaves a choice unresolved.
Read the full row rather than assuming that a repeated diameter represents the same item. Weight is also printed in the table and can help identify the reference, though it should not be treated as a replacement for the physical dimensions or fixing information.

9901: keep the original dimension label
The polished-silver 9901 entry lists diameters of 30, 25 and 18 mm with weights of 117, 64 and 25 g. The catalogue table does not list a height for those rows, so a height should not be invented from the photograph.
If the intended clearance or furniture detail depends on an unstated dimension, request the drawing for the chosen size. A complete enquiry can include both the printed dimensions and the specific information still needed.
Make a tactile choice with a defined sample
For a sample discussion, specify the model, finish and exact row. Compare that sample against the actual cabinet front and the intended hand position rather than assuming one knob diameter suits every application.
A precise reference lets the visual and practical decisions develop together. It also prevents a change of size during the project from being hidden behind an unchanged model number.
